WHAT IS ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis is a method of hair removal utilizing a direct current to convert normal body salt and water in the follicle into a compound able to destroy the dermal papilla. The process is produced only in the follicle. One probe or several probes can be used during this process.
The dermal papilla is the part of the follicle that nourishes the growing hair. The hair will die if the papilla and the regenerative cells surrounding it are destroyed.
IS ELECTROLYSIS PERMANENT?
Electrolysis has been shown to be permanent in over one hundred years of use. Knowledgeable doctors have recognized its permanency, and have also published many scientific articles in medical literature. In addition to this recognition, there are hundreds of satisfied clients who have solved an embarrassing problem with the help of electrolysis.
IS ELECTROLYSIS SAFE?
Electrolysis is safe and effective. It has a history of over one hundred years of safety. I have not heard of one case of disease being caused or transmitted because of electrolysis. Electrologists use the most up to date effective methods of sterilization, and follow guidelines set up by the State and also with the Center of Disease Control.
FACTORS OF UNWANTED HAIR
Heredity -- race, nationality and family
Normal physiological changes -- puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Hormone imbalance such as increased male hormones (androgens) can be present resulting in unwanted hair growth.
Medication -- birth control pills, cortisone and some high blood pressure medication.
Stress -- (physical and emotional) the adrenal glands are stimulated to start a hormonal reaction that can cause fine, lanugo hair to become more coarse. Emotional disturbances also cause menstrual irregularities which can affect excess hair growth.
WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED?
Hair can be removed from almost any part of the body. Common areas for women include the upper and lower lip, cheeks, sideburn area, chin, eyebrows, the hairline, throat, neck, chest, breast, abdomen, arms, bikini line, toes and fingers.
Common areas for men include the beard line (ingrown hairs), hairline, neck, chest, nose and ears.
WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE ELECTROLYSIS?
Electrolysis improves your physical appearance and self-image, and helps you feel more attractive and less self-conscious. Removing unwanted hair in a temporary way is costly and never ending. Electrolysis will free you from this daily routine.
Lastly, it has been proven safe and effective and recognized by doctors. You can be confident that electrolysis will change your life in a positive way.
